The Mindful and Co Weighted Buddies are emotional security designed for littlies. Our sensory buddies focus on the known senses: taste, smell, sight, touch and sound. Our Weighted Buddy Bundle, featuring 5 sensory friends, is backed by evidence-based research, helping to reduce anxiety and improve sleep quality.

All of the weighted animals are soft, loveable, and portable. They allow children to receive proprioceptive input without feeling different.

Backed by evidence-based research, our Weighted Teddies on Deep Pressure Touch Stimulation (DPTS), which is a firm tactile sensory input that provides a Proprioceptive* response to the body.

Proprioception is our bodies awareness of position and movement. Muscles and joints detect proprioceptive input when we push, pull, bend and stretch. Proprioceptive input has a calming and organising impact on the central nervous system and is therefore important in supporting regulation, focus and attention. It simulates firm hugs and compression and motivates the release of serotonin and dopamine in the brain. This helps children to regulate their emotions when going to sleep or when they are feeling emotionally overwhelmed.

It is recommended weighted animals be approximately 10% of a child's weight. Specifications: 1.5 kgs each

Comfort, stay warm on cold nights, soothe muscles, joints and tension

Warming instructions:

500-750 W microwave maximum 60 seconds

800-1000 W microwave 30 seconds

Cool your Weighted Buddy to:

Comfort hot nights, soothe bumps and bruises, enjoy the relaxing lavender scent

Cooling instructions:

Place on a clean surface or in a bag in the freezer or refrigerator for up to several hours to cool desired temperature
